The Chicago Bears finally traded their wide receiver, DJ Moore, to the Buffalo Bills, which has opened the door for what the future holds for the team.
Chicago has a great roster they have put together over the years, with a ton of young talent, including Rome Oduzne and Luther Burden at wide receiver. Even at tight end, the Bears have Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet, which really ties everything together for the passing game.
The one concern for the team right now is making sure they have a WR3 in the offense who can fill the void left by Moore. There is one player who had a great moment last season that might be ready for the challenge.
Jahdae Walker could be ready to step up for the Bears
Walker was a great story coming out of training camp, as he went undrafted and made two spectacular touchdowns in the fourth quarter of the Bears' preseason games that ended up being the game winners. He would make the roster, but it would take until Rome Odunze's late-season injury for Walker to start playing in games.
By far the biggest play he made was his first career touchdown catch, a Caleb Williams floater in the end zone with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16, tying the game and sending it into overtime. The Bears went on to win in overtime thanks to the now-traded-away Moore catching the game-winner.
In nine games, Walker caught six passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns, with four of those six catches going for first downs. He also had three tackles on special teams.
Odunze and Burden are the clear top receivers now on the team, which leaves the WR3 position open for anyone. Walker showed a lot of promise in the preseason and late in the year that he could be that guy in the slot for the future.

Expect Chicago to add another wide receiver either through free agency or the draft, but Walker is going to be ready to compete for more playing time.
