After over two weeks of training camp, the Chicago Bears have finally shown who is in line to start and who is in the danger zone.
The Bears have released their first unofficial depth chart ahead of their preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. This will help clarify the biggest position battles and who has the lead.
Before looking at the depth chart, it is worth noting that anyone on the PUP list will not be on the depth chart, including slot corner Kyler Gordon. Here's a look at all three phases of the game, broken down.
Chicago Bears' first unofficial depth chart before Cleveland Browns game
Bears' offense
QB - Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum, Miller Moss
RB - D'Andre Swift, Kyle Monangai, Roschon Johnson, Salvon Ahmed, Brittain Brown, Coleman Bennett
WR - Rome Odunze, Kalif Raymond, Zavion Thomas, Scotty Miller, Ray-Ray McCloud III
WR - Luther Burden III, Jahdae Walker, Maurice Alexander, JP Richardson, Kaden Davis, Omari Kelly
TE - Colston Loveland, Stephen Carlson, Qadir Ismail
TE- Cole Kmet, Sam Roush, Nikola Kalinic, Hayden Large
LT - Braxton Jones OR Jedrick Wills Jr. OR Kiran Amegadjie
LG - Joe Thuney, Jordan McFadden, Kyle Hergel
C - Garrett Bradbury, Logan Jones, Jaren Kump
RG - Jonah Jackson, Luke Newman, Caden Barnett
RT - Darnell Wright, Theo Benedet, Mason Murphy
The left tackle position has the most attention on the depth chart since it is the only one that has an "or" anywhere on it. This shows there is no clear winner yet, and it is a battle that might not be decided for a bit. Bears head coach Ben Johnson mentioned that he hopes to wrap it up in the next week or two.
At center, there is no more debating that Bradbury is in line to start over Jones. This is probably the best choice, as Bradbury has gotten a lot of praise early in camp for how he's handling the calls at the line.
Bears fans might be interested in the running back position, with Roschon Johnson getting the third-string job for now. The tone is much different from what has been reported, with Ahmed getting all the attention there. That's a position battle that might continue as the weeks go on.
Bears' defense
DE - Montez Sweat, Austin Booker, Jamree Kromah
DT - Grady Jarrett, Neville Gallimore, James Lynch
DT - Gervon Dexter Sr., Kentavius Street, Jordan van den Berg, Jayden Loving
DE - Dayo Odeyingbo, Daniel Hardy, Jeremiah Martin
LB - T.J. Edwards, D'Marco Jackson, Jack Sanborn, Nephi Sewell
LB - Devin Bush, Noah Sewell, Ruben Hyppolite II, Jon Rhattigan, Tony Fields II, Wayne Matthews III
CB - Jaylon Johnson, Terell Smith, Beanie Bishop Jr.
CB - Tyrique Stevenson, Malik Muhammad II, Dontae Manning, Will Wright
DB - Cam Lewis, Jaylon Jones, Skyler Thomas
S - Coby Bryant, Xavier Woods, Brandon Hill, Marlen Sewell
S - Dillon Thieneman, Josh Blackwell, Anthony Johnson Jr.
Chicago is showing they like the idea of Lewis replacing Gordon if he needs to for the regular season. With Lewis injured, Muhammad has been getting starting reps at nickel, so that could end up being an interesting position battle.
Despite Booker having a great training camp, Odeyingbo is getting the early nod to start at the other defensive end position. The Bears still seem to believe in him, but expect a heavy rotation between Odeyingbo and Booker during the season.
Bears' Special Teams
K - Cairo Santos
P - Tory Taylor
Kickoff Specialist - Cairo Santos
Holder - Tory Taylor
LS - Beau Gardner
KR - Kalif Raymond, Zavion Thomas
PR - Kalif Raymond, Zavion Thomas

No major surprises on special teams for the time being. Gardner beat Luke Elkin for the long snapper job after the Bears cut Elkin. The returner jobs could be interesting to see if Raymond still gets the job over Thomas.
