The Chicago Bears' offense is loaded with weapons all over the field, which makes it easy to see when really talented players get lost in the shuffle.

Last year, Bears fans saw it firsthand with rookie seventh-round pick Kyle Monangai, who did not get many carries earlier in the season. After Roschon Johnson's injury, though, it opened the door for Monangai to run away with the RB2 job, and he hasn't looked back since.

Chicago will look to recapture that magic again this season, hoping that this time someone at wide receiver will be able to do that, especially since DJ Moore was traded and there is uncertainty at the position outside of Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III. There might be a surprise piece in that Bears offense who has a chance to turn some heads and sneak his way onto the roster.

Scotty Miller might be late to the party, but he's ready to step up in training camp

Miller is a longtime NFL veteran who has been on many successful teams and has made plays when he is most needed. In his seven-year NFL career, Miller has caught 99 passes for 1,216 yards and six touchdowns with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Among the Bears players, Miller might have a difficult path to making the 53-man roster by the end of training camp. He got a late start after the Bears signed him during OTAs, leaving him behind the eight-ball compared to everyone else.

The stiff competition at wide receiver will also challenge him a bit. He has to face off against Kalif Raymond, Jahdae Walker, and rookie Zavion Thomas for playing time.

All of this will depend on whether the Bears want to carry five or six receivers on the roster. If the Bears want more, that will help Miller's chances, but at five, that's going to be a problem for him.

With that being said, Miller has started in some big moments and was a Super Bowl champion with the Buccaneers, so he knows how to contribute in multiple ways. Getting to see how he does on special teams could have a massive impact on whether he makes the team as well. He will be gunning for that WR3 job in the slot and prove himself to be a reliable third-down receiver, which is what this offense needs.

The wide receiver room in Chicago has a lot of young players who need some guidance and veteran experience. Miller is a valuable asset to the group who can also make plays on the field to help the Bears win, so don't count him out of making the roster just yet.
