After a long three-day NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears began working on signing rookies who were not selected.

One player that has caught everyone's attention is Wyoming offensive tackle Caden Barnett. Bleacher Report writer Kristopher Knox believes that Barnett has the best shot of the Bears' undrafted free agents to make the final 53-man roster.

"The Chicago Bears have spent the past two offseasons searching for the right offensive-line combination to put in front of quarterback Caleb Williams. They did some more tinkering this offseason, adding Garrett Bradbury and Jedrick Wills Jr. before drafting Iowa's Logan Jones and signing Wyoming's Caden Barnett as an UDFA. Barnett is a 6'4", 316-pound prospect who logged double-digit starts at both guard and tackle in college. He may not be polished enough to start right away, but he has the potential to be a solid contributor to Chicago's long-term O-line plan. While Barnett certainly won't push Jonah Jackson or Darnell Wright out of a job in the foreseeable future, he'll have the chance to stick as a swing backup who provides depth behind the two right-side standouts."

Caden Barnett might surprise people by making the Bears' roster

Last season with the Cowboys, Barnett posted a Pro Football Focus grade of 71.3, ranking 65th out of 686 tackles in the nation. On 444 pass blocking snaps, he allowed 18 pressures, six quarterback hits, and one sack, as well as committing four penalties.

The Bears have some depth concerns on the offensive line, especially at tackle, with Ozzy Trapilo dealing with an injury that will cost him much of the 2026 season. At left tackle, there's Braxton Jones, Willis, and Theo Benedet battling for the starting job.

Barnett could fit into the picture if he's willing to learn to play tackle and guard to move him around if injuries happen. He proved in college to be a solid blocker, so showing football IQ might be his best way to make the roster.

Barnett's chances of making the roster are not high, but he might be able to surprise some people and get to Week 1 if he can prove that he can do it all for Chicago.
