Well, this is a sight no Chicago Bears fan wants to imagine while the team is at training camp: tight end Cole Kmet walking off the field with a trainer.
During training camp practice on Tuesday, several Bears reporters, including ESPN's Courtney Cronin and The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain, shared that Kmet walked off the field with trainer Andre Tucker shortly after completing 7-on-7 play. CHGO's Mark Carman added that Kmet was "visibly upset" when he left the field.

It's unknown what the injury is or if he even is injury, but Kmet has not rushed back onto the field since leaving with Tucker.
This could be something to monitor for fans
It's worth noting that Kmet is as durable as they get in the NFL. Since the Bears selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he has not missed a single game, playing all 84 potential games with 76 starts.
Losing a player of Kmet's magnitude will be a crushing blow for an offense that is looking to use two tight end sets with him and 2025 first-round pick Colston Loveland. The Bears would still have Loveland, but that might affect some of the play-calling new head coach Ben Johnson had planned.
For Kmet, losing valuable time on the field would not be great, as he is competing for the starting tight end job with Loveland. This would be a setback that might move Loveland to play more often in the starting lineup depending the severity of Kmet's unknown situation.
Kmet has already been the subject of much trade speculation, but the Bears have been adamant about keeping him on the team. He's just in the second year of his four-year contract extension he signed in 2023.

Bears fans will have to wait on the update to see what is going on, but for now, all they can hope for is that it isn't serious enough for him to miss time.
