One thing every Chicago Bears fan has learned in the 2025 season is that they shouldn't count their team out when they have quarterback Caleb Williams on the field.
Before their NFC Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams, the Bears broke an NFL record with Williams leading seven comeback victories and game-winning drives. That almost happened in the Bears-Rams game, and it was predicted that it could.
With the game tied at 10-10 with three minutes to go in the third quarter, NBC NFL commentator Cris Collinsworth made an interesting comment to Mike Tirico in the booth that made him think something special was about to happen with Williams and the Bears.
"I really think this is Caleb's time ... he needs to go back to his high school days and say 'I'm the best athlete on the field here and take over."
Cris Collinsworth's prediction did come true for Caleb Williams and the Bears
Collinsworth was spot on as the Bears had the ball with 1:50 left in the game and were down by seven points to the Rams. Williams led Chicago down the field as they got to the Rams' 14-yard line with 27 seconds left.
After a timeout by the Rams, Williams faced all kinds of pressure, ended up backpedaling to the Rams' 40-yard line, and heaved the ball down the field to miraculously find tight end Cole Kmet wide open in the back of the end zone for the touchdown. Bears would tie the game at 17-17 and force overtime.
The rest didn't need to be talked about as Bears know all too well what happened after that.

Chicago might have suffered a tough loss, but that play by Williams perfectly sums up what kind of season it has been for the Bears and what is to come. Collinsworth unbelievably knew what was coming and might be making more of those predictions in the future with Williams running the show in the Windy City.
