The moment that will haunt all Chicago Bears fans from the 20-17 overtime playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams to end their 2025 season is going to be that final interception thrown by Caleb Williams.
With the Bears driving in overtime and a chance to get into field goal range, Williams threw an interception to Rams defensive back Kamren Curl, giving the ball back to Los Angeles, and they never gave it back, ending the game with a game-winning field goal. One part of the interception that bothered every Bears fan was that it appeared wide receiver DJ Moore slowed on the route, leading to the interception.
Everyone on the Bears, including Williams, has chalked it up to miscommunication. Moore did not speak to the media after the game about that interception, but at the Super Bowl, CHGO asked him about the play, and he finally responded.
"My side of the story is like everyone else's; it's a miscommunication. We got to attack it the next time we got something like that and just go from there."
DJ Moore answers for the overtime INT in the playoff loss
It's a shame that was the Bears' last offensive play of the season, after that unit had played so well all year. They were in the top five in total offense, led by one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL.
That was an unfortunate moment for Moore, as the play is part of the reason many Bears fans have called for the team to trade him, even though Moore wants to stay with the team for 2026. Outside of that play, Moore made a ton of memorable touchdown catches in the season, but he did have the worst statistical season of his career.
For Bears fans, it's hard to justify keeping Moore on the roster when the team is on the hook for a $110 million contract for a receiver who didn't even have 700 receiving yards in the season. With that kind of contract, he's expected to be the number one receiver, and he's arguably the third target in an offense with Rome Odunze and Colston Loveland.

Chicago has a tough decision coming up in the offseason about what to do with Moore, but if they keep him, he needs to clean up some things with his quarterback to make sure that doesn't happen again.
