While it was a magical season for the Chicago Bears in 2025, it was more of an up-and-down year for wide receiver DJ Moore.
It was statistically the worst season of Moore's career as he had 50 receptions for 682 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games. He also made some of the best plays of the season, including a game-winner against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 and the NFC Wild Card.
This offseason's biggest question for the Bears is whether they will keep Moore on the roster or trade him after his down season. Moore spoke with CHGO about whether he would like to come back to the team, and it was a very quick answer from the receiver.
"I would love to. Like I told him in our exit meeting, I love being here. I really have no expectations for this year. Everything went out to went out the window when we got Ben and I was just all in on the team."
DJ Moore wants to be back in Chicago for 2026 season
Moore has been a leader on this Bears team and was instrumental in helping the young offense transition starting in 2024. The offense has come a long way, and the team has followed Moore's direction to get to where it is now.
There were moments this season where Moore suffered some kind of injury in games, but would return to gut it out, including the Washington Commanders Monday Night Football showdown. Not every leader needs to be vocal, as Moore shows through his actions.
Looking forward to the 2026 season, the Bears would love to keep most of the core group together. When reflecting on what he wants for the upcoming season, Moore would like to avoid all the close games they had.
"I hope not a lot more fourth quarter comeback wins, but a lot more wins to come with Ben and just keep stressing ourselves to be better than we were this year."

Moore's future is uncertain right now, but if he returns, expect him to play a big role in getting this team back in the Super Bowl conversation.
