Looks like Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore is out of the woods and doing much better after his scary injury update in the team's 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 6 action.

It all started with Moore getting injured in the first half of the game, but he shortly came back into the game. He played the rest of the game, including getting some key blocks on the final drive to set up Jake Moody's game-winning 38-yard field goal.

After the win, several reporters shared that Bears wide receiver coach Antwaan Randle El accompanied Moore to a local hospital for further evaluation. Moore ended up staying overnight, which caused many in the fan base to be concerned about what was going on with him.

Ben Johnson's update is only good news for the Bears

Luckily, fans didn't have to wait long as Johnson spoke with the media the day after the win and gave an update on Moore. The good news is that Moore did return to Chicago and is back with the team.

Johnson added that Moore is dealing with a groin injury after receiving treatment at the DC hospital. Moore's return status is unknown as the Bears are considering him "day-by-day."

It's great news to hear Moore is up and moving while avoiding anything serious. He's a key player to this offense as a leader and a role player, despite a quiet start to the season.

In five games, Moore has caught 19 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown. He's also added eight carries for 25 yards, with one going for a first down.

Johnson loves to use Moore in multiple ways on offense, including at receiver and lining him up in the backfield. His elusiveness makes him a threat in the offense, but Rome Odunze's emergence in his second season has taken targets away from him.

Bears fans will have to wait and see when Moore will return, but it all sounds like it's good news for the time being.
