DJ Moore's 2-word response to Caleb Williams just shifted the Bears' future

We cannot continue to ask this question.

For those Chicago Bears fans who did not turn the TV off Saturday night, you got to see one of the most improbable, amazing comeback victories this franchise has ever seen.

After scoring 10 points in the final couple of minutes against Green Bay, the Bears saw quarterback Caleb Williams hit wide receiver DJ Moore on a 46-yard bomb to win the game in overtime. And, following the game, Williams was awarded Tom Brady's "LFG" player of the game award.

Later, the video of Williams' interview with Brady was tossed onto social media and Moore found it, and reposted it with two simple words:

"My QB."

In just two words, Moore could have shed light on a future decision by general manager Ryan Poles.

DJ Moore has proved to be too necessary for the Bears to even think about trading

For those just catching up, some folks have wondered whether the Bears will try to trade Moore this coming offseason. His contract, by comparison to many other top wideouts, is not all that bad. And, the Bears have a future with Rome Odunze and Luther Burden.

You could make the argument that trading Moore makes a ton of sense, especially if the Bears could use that draft capital and/or financial relief to bolster other areas of need like the defensive line.

Yet, over the past two weeks, we have seen just how important Moore can be to this offense. In back-to-back weeks, we've seen people use the phrase "throw of the year" to describe a pair of touchdowns by Moore and off the hand of Williams.

Clearly, the two of them do have chemistry. Clearly, Moore is an important piece. He just hasn't been utilized all that much in 2025, thanks to Ben Johnson having so many weapons at his disposal.

But with Odunze and Burden out, Moore was one of the only viable options. The Bears depended on him, and he came through, even after getting inexplicably blindsided by a Packers defender early in the game.

Moore is not only still a great player, but he is as tough as they come.

At this very moment, the vibes around Moore seem to suggest he isn't going anywhere. Let's ask the simple question: after the dramatic win over Green Bay, could you picture Chicago trading Moore this coming offseason?

It's getting harder to see.

Maybe, in 2027, the Bears entertain trading him once his dead cap number goes down even further and prospective teams have even more reason to be interested. But, right now, I think Moore's response to his quarterback just said it all. He isn't going anywhere.
