While Chicago Bears fans are devastated by the 28-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, they are left more confused about how to feel about quarterback Caleb Williams' performance.

Williams started the game completing just one of seven passes for three yards after the first quarter. The Bears scored only three points as the offense struggled to get anything going.

In the second half, though, it was the same old Williams fans have been accustomed to, with two touchdown passes, and at one point tied the game against the Packers 21-21. On the final drive, Williams almost had a potential game-tying touchdown to Cole Kmet in the back of the end zone on fourth-and-one, but underthrew him and was picked off in the end zone to end the game.

Williams finished the game completing 19 of 35 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 15 yards on four carries.

It was a tale of two halves for Caleb Williams

This was a confusing game to analyze because Williams was not good in the first half. He was off target so many times in the first half and just struggled.

A prime example of this came late in the second quarter, when Williams had Luther Burden III wide open for five yards and threw it far to the right, resulting in an incompletion. Most quarterbacks make that throw, but Williams wasn't able to.

The second half was a completely different show as Williams was running out of the pocket and making some great throws. His touchdown passes to Colston Loveland and Olamide Zaccheaus were a thing of beauty. His 21-yard completion to Devin Duvernay on the final drive of the game was also pinpoint accurate.

Every Bears fan would agree that Williams has been wildly inconsistent with the accuracy, but there is something special there. It's just a matter of time before he puts it together.
