Josh Allen said what every Bears fan has known about DJ Moore for three years

He's a great player and we will miss him.

Chicago Bears fans are about two months removed from when the team traded wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills, which still feels odd to say.

It was even more odd to see Moore take part in the Bills' OTAs, as he is now catching balls from Josh Allen instead of Caleb Williams. Allen spoke to the media about what it has been like playing with Moore so far and what he has seen out of the veteran wide receiver.

"He's able to contort his body in different ways that I don't think I've ever seen, and he's not a small guy," Allen said via The Buffalo News' Lance Lysowski. "He's faster than you think, and he just kind of glides on people.”

Bears fans saw the same thing from DJ Moore the last three years in Chicago

After having over 1,300 yards in his first season with the Bears in 2023, there was a noticable regression in his play once Williams became the starting quarterback. Even with the stats dipping dramatically, Moore was still such a critical piece to this offense.

Last year, Moore had one of the worst seasons of his career but still managed 682 yards and six touchdowns, and made some of the biggest plays of the season, scoring game-winning touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers twice. He was also a great leader on the team, as despite being banged up all year, he played all 17 games and proved his toughness.

Just looking at his play on the field, Moore has some speed to him and was considered a deep threat in the Bears' offense over the years. Once Luther Burden came into the picture, though, the Bears had a younger and cheaper deep threat they could develop at that point, which made Moore expendable at that point.

The Bears will truly miss having Moore on the team, but they have great young talent at receiver with Burden and Rome Odunze to get excited about, so the Bills can have Moore. Let's hope they take good care of him.
