The Chicago Bears were back at practice on Tuesday for the first time in a week as they prepare for their Monday night showdown with the Washington Commanders. It was all good news coming out of the workout.

Bears cornerback Kyler Gordon was one of those players back on the practice field, and it appears he's good to go against the Commanders. Gordon confirmed the news with the media at practice when asked about his hamstring injury.

"I’ve been annoyed not playing," Gordon said via ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "But like, mood been good just attacking rehab, but definitely excited to be out and that’s all I been looking forward to is playing with my guys and helping the team."

It's been quite the journey for Gordon to get back to playing on the field

Gordon originally got hurt in the middle of training camp and would miss the back half of the workouts. Before the Bears' first regular season game against the Minnesota Vikings, Gordon was practicing right up to two days before the game, where he was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury.

Since then, he has not played in a single game this season. Before the Las Vegas Raiders game, Gordon started practicing again and almost played in the game.

The cornerback position has seen its fair share of shakeups in the regular season in Chicago. Nick McCloud has been playing in Gordon's place at nickel. Jaylon Johnson has missed extended time due to his injury, as Nahshon Wright has been filling in for him.

Gordon is just one of the big players on the Bears who appear to be coming back this week. His return is the most important, with Tyrique Stevenson getting some support at the corner, which was much needed for Chicago.
