The Chicago Bears got the all-important 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 with a dominating flare to it.

Chicago's defense allowed less than 200 yards and forced three turnovers. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had one of his best games of the season with over 240 yards passing and two touchdowns in the victory.

That win put the Bears in double-digit wins for the season as they hold a 10-4 record on the season. Where does that put them in the NFC playoff picture in Week 15?

Bears' update in the Week 15 NFC playoff picture

The most important thing is that Chicago is back on top of the NFC North after the win, and both the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions suffered losses on the road. That puts the Bears back in the driver's seat of the division after being dethroned for just one week.

1. Chicago Bears (10-4)
2. Green Bay Packers (9-4-1)
3. Detroit Lions (8-6)
4. Minnesota Vikings (6-8, eliminated from playoff contention)

Noticed the last note about the Vikings being eliminated from playoff contention? Thanks to the Bears' win over Cleveland, which sealed the Vikings' fate and sent them packing home for the postseason.

For the bigger picture in the NFC, the Los Angeles Rams got a massive win over the Lions, which helped in the division but did not in the conference, so that Bears fans can feel conflicted about that result. The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks also picked up wins, which is bad news for the Rams, as they could very easily take the top seed in the NFC. Another key result was the Philadelphia Eagles' 31-0 shutout win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here's a look at the latest NFC playoff picture if the playoffs started after Week 15:

1. Los Angeles Rams (11-3)
2. Chicago Bears (10-4)
3. Philadelphia Eagles (9-5)
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7)
5. Seattle Seahawks (11-3)
6. San Francisco 49ers (10-4)
7. Green Bay Packers (9-4-1)

Chicago is still very much in the running for the NFC's top spot, but they are going to need some help, as a Bears win over the Packers in Week 16 could very much sink Green Bay, but the Rams and Seahawks need losses. The Bears have a showdown in two weeks with the 49ers and could knock them out of the running for the NFC's top seed with a win.

This season has been spectacular for the Bears, as they remain strong at the top of the NFC. Now it's a matter of getting a little more help to reach the number one seed.
