This offseason, the Chicago Bears have gotten a ton of buzz around them after exceeding expectations in 2025.
They went from a team that was hoping to get to around .500 to winning the NFC North and beating the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. It created a wave of attention for head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams.
Some people are not quite happy getting overlooked by the Bears. Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen made his feelings known about his team not getting enough attention.
"I think I'll see about 40 pictures of Caleb Williams, and I won't see a single thing about any of our players."
Liam Coen might have missed the point of why Bears are getting attention
Coen's frustration is understandable when he talks about his team. Jacksonville also exceeded expectations by winning the AFC South and making the postseason.
What Coen needs to understand is that the Bears are just a different type of team from the Jaguars. First off, while this isn't a knock on Coen, who is a great offensive mind himself, Johnson is different from most head coaches in the NFL. His ability to use creative plays and different formations makes him a one-of-a-kind coach in the NFL.
Also, Williams is a more dynamic athlete than Jaguars starter Trevor Lawrence. Williams made throws that only Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen can make, and he did it every week. Williams ' clutch gene doesn't compare to anyone else because he led an NFL record seven comebacks and game-winning drives.
Chicago was simply a more exciting team to watch on the field than the Jaguars were. The Chicago market is obviously much bigger than Jacksonville's, and the Bears were just the better overall team.
Entering the new season, nothing is going to change with the coverage of the Bears. Every NFL fan wants to know how they are doing and what kind of insane throws Williams is making in practice that hint at an MVP season for him.

Most of the NFL can be jealous if they want, with all the attention the Bears get, but when a team has a duo like Johnson and Williams, they will be everywhere. Honestly, they have earned it, as they bring eyes to the NFL like most aren't able to right now.
