There is one thing that is more certain than anything in life: Chicago Bears fans want a Maxx Crosby trade to happen more than anything.

The rumors have been running wild this offseason, with the Bears in the running for a potential trade with the Las Vegas Raiders to acquire Crosby, even though Crosby himself has tried to shut down those talks. Those trade rumors might be getting a bit louder as Crosby had Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on his podcast "The Rush with Maxx Crosby", and his compliments to the young quarterback spoke volumes.

“Just to be open and honest, bro, like we talked about earlier, but respect at a different level, bro," Crosby said. "You’re one of those guys for sure, and you’re just getting started. I don’t even know you understand yet how good you can be, and that’s the scariest part. You know what I mean? Just keep that mindset, keep doing what you’re doing, and you know we’re locked in forever. So keep doing your thing, bro. You need me, hit me at any time. It goes vice versa.”

Crosby was reportedly frustrated with how the Raiders treated him late in the season, as they shut him down for the final few weeks because of injury. That did not sit well with Crosby, as he reportedly stormed out of the Raiders' facilities after the news, sparking trade talks.

Chicago had a massive problem with its pass rush last year, recording just 35 sacks, the fewest of any team. While Montez Sweat led the way with 10, there really wasn't too much happening outside of Austin Booker and Gervon Dexter.

Everyone will end up reading too much into the interview, but it's just Crosby making interesting comments, as he has spoken out in the past about being a big fan of Williams. With it being the offseason and less than a month away from free agency beginning, the time is fasinating and the guest choice certainly feels like a lot is being said from Crosby without it being said.

Bears general manager Ryan Poles is going to have to pay a heavy price for Crosby, as it might require two first-round picks to get it done, just like the Micah Parsons trade, but after how this defense has looked over the last couple of years on the defensive line, the investment is well worth it.
