While it was unfortunate that the Chicago Bears fell to the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, there were plenty of silver linings to take away from the loss. One of those was Caleb Williams, who, yes, threw a game-sealing interception on the final play, but mostly it was hard not to be impressed by the second-year quarterback.

The former number one pick went 19-of-35 for 186 yards, two touchdowns, and the pick above, but he also rushed for 15 yards and was sacked only once. The numbers might not be mindblowing by any means, but Williams' performance definitely caught people's attention. Mike Greenberg of ESPN's Get Up was one of those people, sharing his praise of Williams on social media following the game.

"Caleb Williams is gonna be a superstar. Hasn't even scratched the surface. Makes as many "I can't believe what I just saw" plays as any young QB in years. Has the right coach, too. They're gonna be unstoppable. #Bears"

Mike Greenberg believes Caleb Williams is showing superstar signs already

It's hard to disagree with Greeny here if we're being entirely honest. Yes, the Bears lost this game, but Williams had some crazy throws and runs that kept drives alive and gave the fan base hope that this franchise might finally have their franchise quarterback after decades of searching for one.

Greenberg was also right to say that Williams has the right coach in place. Look how much progress he and the rest of the offense have made in under one year. The team was in first place in the entire conference for over a week and only lost to the Packers, a team that's had their number for a very long time, by a touchdown, but had a chance to tie or win it late. Past Bears teams would have crumbled in those situations, but Williams kept battling.

Obviously, this doesn't mean anything if the Bears can't continue to build around their franchise player, but for now, it truly feels like the search might be over. The Chicago Bears might finally have their superstar quarterback. Let's see if Williams continues to don the cape and rise to the occasion as the games get bigger and the lights get brighter.
