They made a big mistake.

The big topic in the NFL has been the Pro Bowl selections, and for Chicago Bears fans, it's all about the lack of selections from the team after a stellar 11-4 season.

Only three Bears players were selected to the Pro Bowl, including safety Kevin Byard III, center Drew Dalman, and left guard Joe Thuney. There was one player who was horribly snubbed from being selected that everyone is talking about: cornerback Nahshon Wright.

Wright not being selected was so bad that even Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons criticized the decision to leave the corner off the roster. Bears media asked Wright about being snubbed from the Pro Bowl, and he had the perfect response to them.

"I would say I was probably more hopeful than anything," Wright said via The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs. "I mean, you'd think if you lead the league in takeaways, that's gotta count for something, right? It's cool just coming from what I had to overcome."

Wright got bulletin board material for the rest of the season

Of all the players who did get snubbed by the Bears, and there are a lot, Wright is the one who has no excuses for why he didn't get included on the list. He's been one of the great stories in the NFL after jumping in for the injured Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon in the secondary and ended up outplaying Tyrique Stevenson in parts of the season.

In 15 games, Wright has racked up 67 tackles, 11 pass deflections, five interceptions, three tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, two fumble recoveries, one quarterback hit, and one pick-six. Wright leads the NFL in turnovers created with his five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries on the year.

No, it hasn't been a perfect season for Wright in coverage, as there have been times when he got mismatched with a top receiver. He has shown resilience, though, and always been able to bounce back by making an even bigger play on the field.

From his early first quarter interception in the Pittsburgh Steelers game or his game-changing forced fumble on the Philadelphia Eagles' Tush Push in the third quarter, Wright has proven to be a playmaker. He has stepped up in a big way, and it is criminal that he did not get into the Pro Bowl.

The NFL made a big mistake, as Wright is about to use this as motivation to become even better than how he has been playing this season.
