All the attention during Chicago Bears training camp has been on franchise quarterback Caleb Williams with good reason.
Williams has performed well so far, but he did throw his first interception of camp on Day 4. With all the touchdowns and great plays he has made, that can be forgiven.
While the spotlight is on the starter, people can't forget who is behind him on the depth chart. Tyson Bagent got massive praise for his performance on Day 4 of practice.
"Caleb Williams & Tyson Bagent stole the show," FOX 32's Chris Kwiecinski said. "They were in command, deadly accurate and anticipated routes so well."
"Tyson Bagent hit Zavion Thomas for a touchdown in a two-minute drill to end practice," The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain said.

Starting offense went 3-and-out in their hurry-up.
Jedrick Wills was LT1. No Kyle Monangai.
Caleb Williams isn't the only stellar quarterback at Bears training camp
It should really come as no surprise that Bagent is really coming into his own in head coach Ben Johnson's offense. In preseason last year, Bagent completed 66.7% of his passes for 511 yards and five touchdowns to one interception in three games. He added four carries for 28 yards to cap a great preseason.
Bagent gets forgotten about in the quarterback room, but he really is as good as advertised. His mobility and athleticism make him a threat on the field, and he's improving as a passer each year.
This offseason, Bagent was a part of the rumor mill, often mentioned as someone who could have been traded. The Bears ultimately decided not to entertain those offers and kept him on the team as the backup. He signed a two-year contract extension before the 2025 season began.
The Bears also have Case Keenum and rookie Miller Moss in training camp, competing for the third-string job. There's a very good chance Keenum ends up winning the job, and Moss looks poised for a spot on the practice squad, depending on how he plays.
Keenum was in the conversation more for the backup job last year against Bagent, but the Bears still went with the younger quarterback. Bagent is in the prime of his career, so it made sense then to go with him, and it still makes sense now to keep rolling with him.

The hope is that Bagent never gets called on if Williams gets hurt in a game, but at least the Bears have security at the quarterback position. Bagent continues to make himself too valuable for Chicago to just get rid of him that easily.
