Blaine Bishop was a recent guest on Taylor Doll's Making Monsters podcast to help us preview Sunday's Tennessee Titans vs Chicago Bears game. Bishop, a former Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl safety, currenty hosts the afternoon slot for 104.5 The Zone in Nashville, and he also works the Titans pre and post game shows. He's done a ton of prep work for the week one contest and he shared plently on both teams.

He's high on Tennessee second-year quarterback Will Levis and believes he's ready to build off his rookie year.

“He showed that he has all the arm talent in the world, which was not as surprising, but you know, the fact that he got in the game early in the season and then he kind of was like a gunslinger, and he liked the deep ball," Bishop said on the pod. "He showed that he was tough. He would scramble around and take some shots, go up in the air, and did some incredible things. So you thought, ‘Okay, he has some potential; how can we hone that in?’”

“They added some receivers, some playmakers for him. Can he then put it all together, and how quickly can they do that? I think he has all the tools; now it’s about executing in a live game and doing it on a consistent basis.”

On offense, Tennessee signed free agent running back Tony Pollard, receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, and center Lloyd Cushenbery, but Bishop was especially pleased with Pollard's addition and what he'd bring to the offense.

“I like the versatile backs; being a former defensive player, you want the players to have multiple talents; that way, you can’t game plan. When Derrick Henry was in the game, you knew they were going to run the freaking football or they were going to play action pass, and most of the time they just ran the football, and he is that talented, but at some point, when it’s not working, sometimes the short passing game can work, so with Tony Pollard added (he had 55 receptions last year in Dallas) I love what they did with him.”

Taylor had to get Blaine's thoughts on Chicago's rookie quarterback, so here's some of what he had to say about Caleb Williams.

Caleb Williams already has some Titans' experts fearing what he could do.

“With all those weapons, I think the Titans respect everything that the Chicago Bears have added. Let alone unproven, but number one pick Caleb Williams, who in preseason, which I watched all the games of him in preseason, showed a lot of promise. He is scary to watch”

“I even kind of looked at some of the statistical numbers as far as analytics, and sometimes he holds on to the football, so I’m interested to see if he’s able to scramble around and do some of the things he did in college as well as in the pros. But he’s built for , he seems like he’s a pro already, when I say that I’m talking about prepared, like even with some hiccups which he’s going to have as a rookie quarterback, he looks like he has the mental fortitude and the strength to overcome those and it won’t rattle him.”
