NFC North Power Rankings Week 5: Chicago Bears looking to make a climb
4. Chicago Bears (4)
Week 4 result: Win against Los Angeles Rams, 24-18.
If the Los Angeles Rams were fully healthy, the Chicago Bears likely would be entering Week 5 with a five-game losing streak. But, that is not the fault of the Bears.
For as much scrutiny as offensive coordinator Shane Waldron took last season, he proved in Week 4 that he is better than his predecessor. Waldron showed an ability to adapt his offensive scheme in Week 4, highlighting the run game.
There also needs to be credit given to Caleb Williams. Williams had a mature and efficient game against the Rams. The growth that Williams has shown through the first four weeks of the season is reason to believe that the Bears could have run in them to get back toward the top of the NFC North. The Bears aren't there yet, but with favorable matchups against the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars in the coming weeks, there's a chance that the team enters the bye week on a three-game winning streak.
