With the countdown until training camp, the countdown of the most important Chicago Bears on the 2025 roster is also on. Which players are going to impact wins more than others?

Chicago Bears' most important players: Number 30, Olamide Zaccheaus

In a perfect world, Zaccheaus would not be one of the 11 most impactful offensive players on the team, which is what puts him outside the top 22ish players overall on this list. However, there is a very real chance that Zaccheaus will end up as one of the top 22 players in terms of snaps played.

Currently, he is listed as the starting slot receiver for the team. They would like to see Luther Burden III step into that role, and the odds are that by the end of the season, that will be the case. However,  Burden has not been able to participate in OTAs, and while it appears to be a minor injury, it is never great to see a rookie get off to a slow start like that.

It puts the odds of Zaccheaus starting in the slot week one pretty high. That in itself makes him one of the more valuable players on the Bears this season.

Zacchaeus only has a career high of 533 yards so it is not like the ceiling of what he can do is sky high, but at the same time he has over 400 yards in three of his last four seasons so this is a player who is going to provide for his team, even if that is just in a role.

In a perfect world for the Bears, he would start a couple of games at the start of the season before Burden starts to take on his role. Then, he would still provide a catch or two in a rotational role throughout the season, and if any of the top three wide receivers suffered an injury, he would be the first to step in at any of the roles. That could certainly lead to around 400 yards again.
