The Chicago Bears recently finalized their 53-man roster, which included the cutting of talented players like wide receiver Tyler Scott. However, the NFL quickly realized his talent, and he didn't take long to find a new home.

A source told ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler that Scott will be signing with the Indianapolis Colts to join their practice squad. Scott will undergo a physical to ensure he is healthy before signing.

Scott was a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2023. He played the last two years in the Windy City, catching 18 passes for 173 yards in 28 games. During the preseason, he made seven receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown.

Will the Bears regret not bringing Scott back?

The reality is that while Scott was a solid receiver for the Bears, the position was so deep that some players had to be released. Undrafted rookie Jahdae Walker exploded onto the scene in the preseason and became an instant star. Walker's play was a big reason Scott is no longer in Chicago.

There are so many other talented receivers on the Bears, including DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Olamide Zaccheaus. They all had the edge on Scott from the beginning, and Walker was the nail in his coffin.

A fresh start will be good for Scott, as he would make for a good slot receiver in the Colts' offense. He will have to wait for his chance to play in an NFL game, given his position on the practice squad, but there's no doubt the talent is there.

Scott had a couple of solid years in Chicago, but the Bears' receiver room is as strong as it has been in a long time, so not many people will lose sleep over Scott leaving.
