Yeah he's going to be expensive.

There is only one more game remaining in the 2025 NFL season, and FOX NFL broadcaster Tom Brady has one award he wants to give out to a Chicago Bears player.

Brady took to social media to share his LFG awards for the 2025 season, including one for Value Player of the Year. The future Hall of Famer gave that award to Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright, with a comment that is a rough reminder to fans in the Windy City.

"He had a tremendous season. He was an absolute turnover machine. The Bears, they didn't do a great job between the 20s, okay? The ball was moved a lot, but when it came down to turning the ball over, they were better than every team in the league, and he was a huge reason why. Intercepting passes, strip sacks, fumbles, fumble recoveries....What I saw with my eye test, he is the Value Player of the Year. Congratulations. You've earned yourself quite a contract in the future."

Nahshon Wright is going to be expensive if the Bears want him back

It was an incredible season for Wright, who by far had the best season of his career. He finished with 80 tackles, 11 pass deflections, five interceptions, three tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, one quarterback hit, and one pick-six in 17 games. Wright was called upon to be a replacement in the Pro Bowl Games for Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell.

Going into the offseason, Wright is a free agent and is expected to get a big payday, with his estimated next contract valued at about $50 million over a three- or four-year deal. When Brady said he's earned quite the contract, Wright certainly has, but the Bears need to decide if they want to pay him that kind of money.

As much as the Bears love Wright and appreciate the work he has done for them this season, Chicago has bigger priorities. The Bears need to make sure they get either Kevin Byard or Jaquan Brisker back in the building to help their secondary, and they will both cost them.

If Chicago could find the money to bring Wright back, the Bears would, but if he is looking for that kind of money, it's not worth it, given that they desperately need an elite pass rusher in the offseason.
