Chicago Bears rookie third-round pick Zavion Thomas continues to impress everyone with how he is playing so far at OTAs.
Bears fans have seen so many clips of him showing off his ability to go down the field on deep passes. Reporters have also shared that Thomas has impressed every time they have been at OTAs.
Once again, a new clip shared by the Bears on social media showed that Thomas truly has the speed they were hoping for. In the video, Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent connected with Thomas on a screen pass, and the rookie did the rest as he ran down the field for the score.
Zavion Thomas is everything the Bears advertised him to be at OTAs
That 4.28-second speed continues to impress all Bears fans, as he might be the fastest player on the team. It's going to be incredible to see how Bears head coach Ben Johnson uses Thomas in the offense, as he is such a weapon as long as he has the ball in his hands.
At Bears rookie minicamp, Thomas was seen playing both wide receiver and running back. It appeared the Bears are looking to use him the same way DJ Moore was used in the unit last season.
Unfortunately for Bears fans, they might not see Thomas as much on offense in 2026 as they might want. General manager Ryan Poles has already made it clear that he will be more of a special teams player, as he will most likely be one of the main kickoff and punt returners for the team. Thomas will have to compete with Kalif Raymond not only for the WR3 role but for the returner role as well.

It's clear at OTAs that the potential is there for Thomas to be great in this offense, but Bears fans will have to be patient to see it all come together.
