What about the Chicago Bears pursuing a defensive tackle instead of an end. We already noted how Bilal Nichols has been tearing up training camp. However, we also know that injuries can happen. Backup nose tackle John Jenkins is not known for his pass rush, but he’s a solid run defender. Is that what the Chicago Bears want from their nose tackle though?

This is where Dylan Wynn comes into the picture. Wynn is 27 years old and has played three seasons in the CFL. Wynn is 6’2″ and 283 pounds. He is a proven pass rusher. In 2019, Wynn finished with 11 sacks for the Tiger-Cats and found himself fourth in the league last year. He also came away with 44 tackles.

Wynn has great strength, but also speed and quickness that allows him to penetrate offensive lines. It was not until last year that he found double-digit sacks, but even with his prior team in Toronto, Wynn finished with six and two sacks. Wynn looks like he’d be a great fit with this front seven and the rotation of dominant pass rushers. The team should give him a tryout.
