7. Chicago Bears RB David Montgomery

The Chicago Bears are likely even more reliant on Johnson than David Montgomery. However, while Akiem Hicks is declining we see that David Montgomery is ascending, and we could see him ascend even more this season. More than ever, the script is set up for him.

As a rookie, he was behind Mike Davis at this point of the summer. Last year, the offensive line fell apart and the Bears arguably have two better quarterbacks on the roster now.

With a better pass attack, a better offensive line, and a third season, one that is not his rookie season, and not a COVID affected year has a lot of arrows pointing up for Montgomery. He has said he wants to be a leader of this team and coming in at number seven shows that he is a core member now.
