2. Will the Houston Texans finally unload Brandin Cooks?

Last season Brandin Cooks was in the center of plenty of trade conversation. The team did not move him, which was a bit stunning. Still, now with another new head coach, and likely another new quarterback, the rumors of Cooks on the move will not go away.

The Houston Texans would save $10M if they trade him now, and if they wait until after June it would be $18M. Still, they are more likely to trade him before the draft. The team adding Cooks would also get him on a contract for 2024 which is pretty team friendly. Still, one reason he appears to want out of Houston is that he wants the end of his deal redone, so the acquiring team has to consider this.

Still, the most likely wideout on the move this offseason is Brandin Cooks, and he was close to being gone already. His fit would be excellent with Justin Fields as a down-the-field weapon, and the draft cost will be more than someone like Robert Woods, but less than someone like DeAndre Hopkins. This could be a nice medium for the Chicago Bears.
