With three weeks down, what have fans noticed about the Chicago Bears' rookies? Are they living up to expectations?
Colston Loveland, TE
Loveland suffered a hip injury and played just six snaps in the Bears' first win of the season. That is something he cannot be blamed for, but with three catches for 43 yards in three weeks, his rookie season has been disappointing.
Grade: C-
Luther Burden III, WR
Burden had 100 yards receiving in Week 3, mostly due to a 65-yard touchdown reception. It was a trick play, so he didn't do much to get open, but he made the play and has been trusted to play more.
Burden has 47 snaps this year and is currently averaging 4.29 yards per route run. It may be time to play him a bit more.
Grade: A
Ozzy Trapilo, OT
Trapilo has been inactive while the team gets Theo Benedet on the field. Benedet has a role as a sixth lineman, but this is not a good development.
Grade: D
Shemar Turner, DL
Turner was active for the first time this week. He played 23 snaps and missed a tackle. It is not a complete failure because he is on the field, but he is coming along slower than most would like.
Grade: D
Ruben Hyppolite II, LB
Hyppolite played two defensive snaps in Week 3 and has 18 snaps on defense this season. That is not much, but it is more than expected for a fourth-round rookie. He also has 57 special teams snaps, which is great.
Grade: B+
Luke Newman, OL
Newman has been active every week, and he plays on the field goal kick team. This is good enough for a sixth-round rookie.
Grade: B+

Kyle Monangai, RB
Monangai has 54 snaps this season, and 45 of them have come in the last two weeks. He added six rushes and one reception in Week 3. The team may want to work him in a bit more as D’Andre Swift is not 100%. So far, Monangai has looked good in limited work.
