This offseason is going to be interesting for the Chicago Bears, as there could be some turnover on the coaching staff.
The Bears have already lost running backs coach Eric Bieniemy, who is returning to Kansas City as the Chiefs' offensive coordinator. They also have several coaches, including defensive backs coach Al Harris and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, up for other coordinator jobs.
That leaves many to wonder who can pick up from where Bieniemy left off with the backfield. The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs has some insights into a name to watch out for.
"A name to keep an eye on for Bears RB coaching position? Eric Studesville. Worked for the team from 1997-2000. More importantly, worked two seasons with Ben Johnson in Miami. Studesville has a wealth of experience and has always been well regarded."
Could Eric Studesville step in as Bears running backs coach?
Bieniemy made it hard to replace him after the great work he did in fixing the Bears' backfield. He helped D'Andre Swift have a career season with 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns. Bieniemy also did great work with rookie seventh-round pick Kyle Monangai, as he rushed for 783 yards and five touchdowns.
Studesville has nearly three decades of experience coaching running backs on several NFL teams. He did great work last year with Dolphins running back De'Von Achane, as he rushed for a career-high 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns on the season as one of the NFL's top rushers.
Johnson's past connection with Studesville will be beneficial to his chances of landing a job with the Bears. Miami is going through a coaching change, and while Studesville has survived three waves of head coaches, it might be a good time to part ways and move elsewhere for a new opportunity.

Bers fans hope the next hire at running backs coach will be just as big of a hit as it was with Bieniemy.
