Everyone in the Windy City was ecstatic about how the Chicago Bears' 2025 draft class performed last year and the kind of impact they made.

Four of those from the draft class that made the most impact came on the offensive side of the ball, with two of them dramatically helping the passing game. First-round pick tight end Colston Loveland and second-round wide receiver Luther Burden completely changed how quarterback Caleb Williams worked the offense with their stellar performances last year.

Loveland and Burden are making sure they are keeping up with the momentum of the offseason, as Loveland shared a photo of the two on Instagram working out together. This isn't the first time the two have been shown together this offseason, as they worked out with Williams, Rome Odunze, and Jahdae Walker at USC last week.

Colston Loveland and Luther Burden are putting in the work for 2026

It was about as good of first seasons for Loveland and Burden as Bears fans could have expected. Loveland finished as the team's leading receiver with 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns, while Burden was fourth with 47 receptions for 652 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bears are putting their faith in Loveland and Burden to take bigger steps in the passing game this season after the moves they made in the last month. Wide receiver DJ Moore was traded to the Buffalo Bills, and wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus was not brought back as he signed with the Atlanta Falcons.

Those kinds of moves signal that the Bears are betting on Loveland and Burden to step up and become the team's leading guys. Loveland is TE1 on the team and will stay that way even with Cole Kmet still on the team. Burden will move up to WR2 behind Odunze, but should receive more targets and instantly become the number one serious threat receiver on the offense.

The 2026 season is a big one for Loveland and Burden, as the Bears hope to build on the stellar starts to their careers. They show all the signs that they can get the job done.
