The vibes are good in the Windy City as the Chicago Bears prepare to wrap up their offseason, preseason and head into final roster cuts. Speaking of cuts, that's when the vibes get a tad sour.

Only 53 players make the team, and there are likely to be some recent draft picks who get the boot. We can talk in a later piece about how that reflects on general manager Ryan Poles, but for now, let's start at the wide receiver position.

2023 fourth-round pick Tyler Scott has been subject of a lot of talk here, and for good reason. We haven't seen enough out of him in two years and have written about the possibility he gets cut for quite some time.

Tyler Scott is among a few recent Bears draft picks who are in danger of missing the final cut

Scott came in as a potential deep threat who boasted great long speed. But, he has had way too many "oops" moments during his limited chances on the field. Most recently, in the Buffalo Bills preseason matchup, Scott muffed the opening kickoff.

The Bears are likely to keep DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Olamide Zaccheaus, Luther Burden III and Devin Duvernay for sure. Beyond those five, maybe the Bears don't even keep a sixth. If they do, it'll be between Scott, Jahdae Webster and JP Richardson, in all likelihood.

Other than Scott, you're looking at another offensive draft pick in center Doug Kramer. Being cut wouldn't be shocking to he nor the fan base, after the Bears went out and signed Drew Dalman this offseason. The Bears will probably keep Ryan Bates as the backup center, but in the case they opt to release Bates, Kramer has a shot.

Finally, 2023 third-round pick Zacch Pickens is another player in danger of not making the final roster. If he does, he will more than likely be the final defensive lineman kept. Pickens has not shown enough in a couple of years, similarly to his draft mate, Scott.

The Bears have added a few other defensive linemen, of course, which might have spelled doom for Pickens from the beginning. Between Shemar Turner, Andrew Billings, Gervon Dexter Sr. and Grady Jarrett, Pickens doesn't have much of a role.
