The pain still stings for Chicago Bears fans after losing to the hated Green Bay Packers 28-21 at Lambeau Field in Week 14.

Despite proving to the NFL they can keep up with the top teams, the Bears still didn't play their best against the Packers. From the offensive struggles of the first half to the big plays allowed by the Bears' defense, there were more negatives than positives to the match.

After the game, Bears tight end Cole Kmet spoke with reporters, deciding to leave the negativity at the door and focus on the good things the team did.

“I think we’re a good football team and I think that’s a really good football team. Look, it wasn't our best first half of football, but I thought we responded really well coming back showing our brand and I thought we did a good job of going downhill, playing fast, getting open and some good things there. Caleb made some really amazing throws on the run and that's stuff we're going to need if we want to beat teams like this going forward."

Bears fans should be happy about play versus Packers

There is a lot to be optimistic about with the Bears, as the one thing they can hang their hats on is that the running game remains a strength for the team. They finished with 138 yards and averaged 4.3 yards per carry. Leading the way was D'Andre Swift with 63 yards, but Kyle Monangai was right behind him with 57 yards.

Even though the accuracy issues are there with Caleb Williams, he made some incredible throws in the game. He hit Cole Kmet on the sidelines with a great pass, and the touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus might be the highlight play of his career.

Chicago's defense still created a turnover in the first half to keep its streak going with a nice pick from C.J. Gardner-Johnson. The unit is getting healthier at the right time despite still having key players like Tremaine Edmunds and Kyler Gordon out.

Sitting at 9-4, there is plenty for the Bears to improve on, but they are at least in the right direction of where they need to be to be playoff contenders. A win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 would be a good start in getting their momentum back in the 2025 season.
