We interrupt this regularly scheduled Chicago Bears blog to say Happy LeBron Day. We’re really starting to head into the calm before the storm that is the NFL season.  Even the most hard-core coverage dwindles as teams get some final rest before the start of training camp, so news is sparse.  Unless you want to know that the Bears are unlikely to go after Shawn Springs or wanted an update on Marty Booker’s real estate transactions, there’s not that much out there. For all you Bears fans out there who thought that Marc Bulger would be the ideal veteran backup to Jay Cutler, you’d better start working on Plan B.  Or C.  Marc Bulger has agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on a 1-year deal that will reportedly pay $3.8 million. Bulger will be the insurance policy in case Joe Flacco can’t build on a successful 2009 campaign.  He’ll be competing with Troy Smith and John Beck to be Joe’s backup. Brian Urlacher was excused from the final day of Bears’ OTA’s to film a commercial for NBC’s Sunday Night Football with Faith Hill.  Not a bad way to spend a day at the office, right?  Reports also indicate that Url was on the set of “Entourage” to film a scene for the HBO hit show.  So Brian went all Hollywood on us. Alex Brown decided to do the old pop in at Halas Hall and surprise his ex-teammates and coaches.  Well the biggest surprise was for old AB, who was escorted out of the building!  Check this out from his Twitter feed.
